Melody Rose & Andrew Carroll
New York native Melody Rose attributes her unique vocal and songwriting style to her various musical upbringings. The daughter of a singer and a music industry executive, she spent her childhood in the studio, or backstage at Madison Square Garden, observing the inner workings of the world of Rock & Roll. Her operatic training and vocal jazz training surpass a decade. Upon receiving her M.A. in music composition, Melody continued to work on her craft as a singer-songwriter, and subsequently released her debut, self-titled E.P. in 2015.
Andrew Carroll is an award winning jazz pianist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and producer. With more than two decades of professional experience, Andrew has spent years listening to his musical heroes in efforts of capturing the essence and sounds of great piano players. He has shared the performance stage with many of the greats in the music industry, including Burt Bacharach, Steve Miller, and Jane Monheit. With a premiere from JazzTimes, Andrew’ debut album ‘Alliterations’ was released in 2019. His debut single from the album, “Midnight Blues” has amassed over 30,000 streams on Spotify.
Melody Rose and Andrew Carroll have been performing together for seven years. As a duo, Andrew’s mastery of the piano compliments Melody’s vocal prowess effortlessly. In addition to original music, the duo performs songs from a range of genres fit to a jazz aesthetic.
Due to Covid-19 in 2020, Rose & Carroll stream a live concert series on Facebook titled ‘The Stay Home Sessions: Live Stream & Chill’ every Friday at 8:30PM EST. The two are also working on their first collaborative record, which was tracked at Abbey Road Studios in London.
